От изучения виртуального к цифровому: методологические возможности и ограничения подходов

Аннотация
В статье анализируются методологические возможности и ограничения подходов к изучению виртуального. Показывается, как переозначивание базовых понятий применительно к онлайн-контекстам отражается на методологическом инструментарии. На основе таких подходов, как виртуальная этнография и этнография виртуальных миров, которые становятся для исследователей отправной точкой в изучении виртуального, в статье рассматриваются принципы и процедуры проведения исследования в онлайн-пространстве. Выделяются различия относительно того, как в каждом из подходов трактуется и анализируется офлайн-контекст и как учитываются специфические особенности онлайн-среды. В статье критически обсуждается соотношение понятий виртуального и цифрового, а также показывается, почему понятие цифрового более релевантно для описания современных онлайн-контекстов.
